The Louvre began as a fortress around 1190 to protect Paris. It was then transfromed into a royal palace During the Renaissance it was updated to a bigger and better palace. In 1793 The Louvre became a public museum during the French Revolution.

The Louvre hold some of the most famous and oldest picecs of art. The experiance is truly life-altering.
